TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Spirit-Bank officials have hired former Oklahoma State University basketball coach Eddie Sutton to be vice chairman of the bank's board of directors.
Officials say Sutton will help Spirit-Bank seek new business and economic development opportunities at both the state and local level through public appearances and speaking engagements.
Sutton retired June 30th after pleading no contest to drunken driving, driving left of center and speeding charges in a February 10th auto accident. He was placed on probation for a year.
Sutton is working on a project with the OSU Foundation to help raise funds for an addiction center that would be built on the Stillwater campus.
The ex-coach will work at the bank's Stillwater branch and the Tulsa headquarters.
