A Tulsa college is providing valuable training to help communities across the area during terrorist attacks or natural disasters.
Tulsa Community College has 26 students enrolled in its new Emergency and Community Preparedness certification. The program includes courses on incident management and homeland defense.
The course instructor hopes students can take what they've learned home to their communities to help handle natural and man-made emergencies.
Some of the students in the program are firefighters, volunteer firefighters, health care workers, and law enforcement officers.
