NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma football coach Bob Stoops says poor tackling helped Alabama-Birmingham stay in the game with OU and one of the Sooners' top defenders agrees.
Linebacker Rufus Alexander says the entire defense is disappointed in letting UAB break tackles during the Sooners' 24-17 win.
Alexander says tackling improves during the season but it can't wait and must get better now.
Fifteenth-ranked OU plays host today to Washington, which is led by quarterback Isaiah Stanback who is a sprinter on the track team and ran for 102 yards last week.
Kickoff for today's game is 2:30.
