Syntroleum Corporation says it's reducing its Tulsa-area employment by about one-third.
It’s shutting down its gas-to-liquids plants in Catoosa and Tulsa. That means 46 people will lose their jobs.
Syntroleum is known for its process to convert natural gas or coal into liquid fuel.
The company lost $28-million during the first half of this year. Its stock is way down to less than $4.50 a share. It was nearly $16 2005.
