UNDATED (AP) _ The Oklahoma Sooners dropped out of the Top 10 in this week's AP Top 25 college football poll.
OU -- a 24-to-17 over the UAB Blazers on Saturday -- is ranked 15th in the poll released today. The Sooners were ranked 10th last week.
Oklahoma had two fumbles and two interceptions and needed both of Adrian Peterson's second-half touchdowns to beat UAB.
Only through Peterson's muscle and moves did the Sooners overcome four turnovers, including one of his own, and avoid losing consecutive home openers for the first time in 23 years.
Quarterback Paul Thompson had a respectable passing day, completing 14 of 24 passes for 227 yards. But he was heavily reined in after throwing two interceptions inside the UAB 25 in a span of five passes at the end of the first half.
