GOLDSBY, Okla. (AP) -- The Chickasaw Nation is scheduling extra security officers to help alleviate traffic congestion around the Riverwind Casino before and after the University of Oklahoma football game Saturday night.
The casino at Interstate 35 and State Highway 9 opened in July, and the intersection has seen frequent logjams.
In addition to the normally heavy traffic on gameday, the situation is expected to worsen tomorrow night because it's a holiday weekend and the casino is hositing a concert by pop star Jewel.
Chickasaw Enterprises chief development officer Brad Fortner says additional officers will hurry customers through the parking lot, which should help with congestion.
