OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Cattle industry experts say an $800-million federal aid package for farmers and ranchers is too little, too late. Many Oklahomans have had to sell livestock early for lack of water and feed.

Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns announced the aid package Tuesday while visiting a ranch in South Dakota.

The package includes $50-million in block grants to hard-hit livestock producers.

US Representative Frank Lucas and Governor Brad Henry have issued statements saying more help is needed for drought-stricken farmers and ranchers.
