STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Three Oklahoma State football players were named Monday as team captains as the Cowboys prepare for their season opener against Missouri State.
Oklahoma State's permanent captains will be senior offensive lineman Corey Hilliard, senior defensive end Victor DeGrate and sophomore kicker Jason Ricks.
The Cowboys also will have a fourth captain's position that is rotated during the season, coach Mike Gundy said.
Gundy also said that junior wide receiver Anthony Parks practiced with the team for about 45 minutes on Monday. After tests earlier this month revealed that Parks only had one kidney, team officials had announced that Parks would miss the season.
But Gundy said Monday that Parks is now pursuing options that could allow him to play this season.
Parks, a junior, transferred from Butler County (Kan.) Community College and went through spring practice with Oklahoma State. In the Cowboys' spring game, Parks had three catches for 81 yards, including a 64-yard TD reception.
He had 28 catches for 820 yards last season at Butler County.
