OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Union has the top ranking in the AP high-school pre-season football poll.

Muskogee is number two and Jenkis is in third position.

Union or Jenks have held the top spot in the Class six-A poll since November 12th, 1996.

The teams have combined to win the last 10 state championships -- with Jenks claiming seven in that span but Union getting three of the last four.

With new coach Kevin Wright at the helm, Union takes on Hoover (Alabama) on Friday in a nationally televised game against a team ranked the best in the nation by some publications.
