OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A statewide burn ban continues in Oklahoma despite widespread rainfall during the weekend and cooler temperatures this week.

Governor Brad Henry says the state is still in the midst of one of the worst droughts in history and conditions statewide are still very dry and dangerous.

The governor issued the burn ban earlier this month on the recommendation of officials at the state Agriculture, Food and Forestry Department.
