TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- The Tulsa Fraternal Order of Police says an arbitrator is recommending an 8 percent pay raise for Tulsa police.

The FOP says in a news release the recommendation comes after a two day arbitration hearing held last month.

Arbitration was scheduled after contract talks between the city and the FOP stalled earlier this year.

The recommendation now goes to the Tulsa City Council.
