ENID, Okla. (AP) _ U.S. Senator Jim Inhofe tells a group of Enid community leaders that an international treaty on climate change is flawed and that the U.S. should withdraw from the United Nations.

The Republican from Tulsa is a longtime critic of the global warming theory and of the U.N. He made his comments yesterday morning.

He says if the Kyoto Protocol is embraced by the U.S. it would shut down agriculture, military and oil production in Oklahoma.

He says global warming is an issue that is hyped by, quote, ``a liberal media who caters to Hollywood.''

He also says he's criticized the United Nations since 1998 and has a resolution that the U.S. withdraw from the international organization.
