OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The state's health commissioner has designated two sites in Oklahoma as free clinics to help facilitate relief efforts for people coming into Oklahoma as a result of Hurricane Katrina.

Under state law, the designation allows for volunteer medical staff to be protected from liability.

State Health Commissioner Doctor Mike Crutcher designated the Camp Gruber facility near Braggs and the Falls Creek camp area near Davis as free clinics.

Health officials hope the designation will encourage more medical professionals to volunteer their services.
