As much as everyone's trying to help the hurricane victims at Camp Gruber, it's still a long way from home and a long way from "being" a home.

So one Muskogee couple decided to open their home to a New Orleans family of eight. Stephanie Baughman says she and her husband Keith had gone to Camp Gruber to volunteer, when Keith overheard one of the family members talking about how expensive bread was at the local store.

Originally, they were just going to give the Freetime family a ride to the store, but then they decided to let them stay at their house. Wednesday, Stephanie also took the women and girls to a hair salon for a little pampering. The Freetimes say they feel much more at home than they did in the barracks. Lisa Freetime: "Y'know we get up breakfast. It doesn't have to be at a certain time. Y'know Stephanie says you don't have to get up to eat. You can relax, feel free at home. Y'know go take a shower, take a bath, eat, and just relax."

The Freetimes think they've found an apartment. Next, they'll start thinking about jobs and schools.
