A controversial development in one Brookside neighborhood has gotten approval from the Tulsa city council.

Developers want to build eight 2-story townhouses in a neighborhood near 35th and Peoria.

Area residents don't like the idea and have been fighting it, but they lost that fight Thursday night when the council approved the project.
