Friends and family mourn the loss of the second Oklahoma civilian killed in Iraq. Funeral services were held Wednesday for Mike Dawes.

After a private service in Tahlequah, he was buried at the Fort Gibson National Cemetery.

Dawes was in Iraq working as an international police liaison officer with DynCorp International. He was killed last week in Baquba by a suicide bomber.

During his 16 years in law enforcement, he worked for the Tahlequah Police Department and was a marshal for the Cherokee Nation.
