OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A California congressman is asking the FBI to give nearly 100 pages of Oklahoma City bombing files to a Utah judge.
Congressman Dana Rohrabacher says in a letter to FBI Director Robert Mueller that the documents should be provided to the judge without delay.
The files have been provided, but are heavily redacted with names and other information blacked out. The judge wants unredacted copies of the documents.
The files were sought by Salt Lake City attorney Jesse Trentadue, who believes his brother Kenneth was killed while in federal custody in Oklahoma City. Trentadue believes his brother was beaten to death at the Federal Transfer Center in August 1995 because he resembled a suspected bank robber that he says the FBI was trying to link to Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.
Rohrabacher says Trentadue's mother is a constituent of his.
