The search for a woman suspected of kidnapping two Tulsa girls continues. Both girls were missing for almost 24 hours before they were found in a south Tulsa apartment complex Sunday.

It was a tearful reunion when 7-year-old Lavender Williams and 8-year-old Sharita Kimbrel were returned to their families. Lavender's Mother Cheryl Williams knew Amee Maldanado. She says she was helping her run errands near 71st and Memorial Saturday afternoon.

Williams says she went into a store, and when she came out Maldanado, the car and the girls were gone. After handing out flyers, Williams found someone who recognized the girls. That woman led her to her car which was parked in an apartment complex near 46th and Fulton. The found the girls nearby. Cheryl Williams: "I'm really relieved I was really worried because it seems like stuff like that only happens on TV it don't happen at home."

Tulsa Police are now looking for 29-year-old Amee Maldanado as a person of interest in the case. They believe she took a car with the two girls inside.
