Police, deputies and state troopers across northeastern Oklahoma have a message for you during the upcoming Labor Day weekend, you drink and drive, you lose.

They will begin working overtime this Friday to crack down on drunk drivers. They plan to use sobriety check points and saturation patrols.

They say, if you're caught drinking and driving, you will get more than just a ticket. Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper: “motorists should be made aware that sobriety checkpoints throughout the state will be erected. And those careless enough to be drinking and driving will be stopped. They will be jailed and they will lose their driving privileges. If you drink you drive you lose.”

In the past six months from January thru June 60 people have already lost their lives in the state of Oklahoma from drunk driving.
