WILBURTON, Okla. (AP) Three people were killed and a fourth was critically injured in a two-vehicle collision in Latimer County that investigators said was alcohol- or drug-related.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol identified the dead as 20 year-old James K. Kinnikin of Gowen; 39 year-old Edward Kinnikin of Gowen; and 41year-old Carolyn Elizabeth McCarroll of Wilburton.

The collision occurred on US 270 three miles west of Wilburton yesterday morning. Troopers say the victims were in an eastbound car that made a U-turn in front of a pickup truck.

The victims were pronounced dead at the scene following the collision. Another passenger in the car was listed in critical condition at a McAlester hospital.

Investigators say they detected the odor of alcohol and found evidence of drug use in the car.
