NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- A judge has denied a man's request for a protective order against the woman accused of disappearing with the couple's two children.
Cleveland County Special District Judge Jequita Napoli told Nick Candela Monday an Oklahoma County judge should address the couple's divorce case and his fear that his ex-wife might take the children again.
FBI agents arrested Marcia Candela on July 25th in New York on a federal charge of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. She faces two counts of child stealing in Oklahoma County.
Nick Candela was reunited with his children after a tip from a viewer of the CBS program "Without a Trace" led to his ex-wife's arrest in New York. The children had been missing since October 14th, 2003, the same day an Oklahoma County judge awarded custody to the father.
