Here is how you can help two young Broken Arrow boys struck by lightning two weeks ago. 13-year old Sam Shannon[pictured left] and 14-year old Devon Catlatt[pictured right] were playing in a Broken Arrow backyard when lightning struck nearby.
When paramedics arrived, the two boys were in cardiac arrest. Devon is still in intensive care, but his family wants to thank the community for all of the support. Devin’s step dad Doug Pruitt: “everybody's been right there, all the prayers and emails. There is just no explaining how you feel when this happens."
Fellowship Bible Church and other community leaders are hosting car washes to raise money for the boy’s medical expenses.
The car washes will be this coming Saturday at Westlake Ace Hardware at 81st and South 145th East Avenue in Broken Arrow from 10 to 5 and Fellowship Bible Church at 5434 East 91st Street from 10 to 5.
There has also been a fund set up at Arvest Bank for both of the boys.
