TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- The state Department of Environmental Quality is issuing another Ozone Alert for the Tulsa metropolitan area for Thursday.

This is the third time this week the area has been under an alert.

Residents are asked to avoid driving if possible or carpool or use public transportation. Also turn off air conditioners in the early morning and keep speeds under 60 miles per hour.

Gas powered tools such as lawn mowers or weed trimmers should not be used.
