CHECOTAH, Okla. (AP) _ A Checotah teenager has died Saturday morning after his sport utility vehicle ran off of US Highway 266 in McIntosh County.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 19-year-old Rowdy Joe Withrow was driving his 2000 Chevrolet Blazer east when the SUV ran off the road and rolled five times just outside Checotah.

Troopers say Withrow was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene after the 12:45 AM crash.
