A big mess closes a stretch of Interstate 44 late Thursday night. It happened around 11:15 PM in the eastbound lane of I-44 near Lewis.

Tulsa Police say a City of Tulsa truck somehow dumped a load of mud on the roadway. Several cars swerved to miss the spill including the driver of Ford Explorer towing a car. He slammed into a retaining wall.

No one was hurt.

The eastbound lanes of I-44 were closed for nearly two hours to clean up the mess.
