Travelers on southbound US Highway 169 in Tulsa may have wanted to take an alternate route Thursday.

Recent weather changes caused the pavement of the southbound lane between I-44 and 4th Street to collapse Wednesday. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation closed the right lane to make emergency surface repairs.

We're told the lane will be closed until Friday morning.

And expect delays if you're traveling on US Highway 75 near 71st Street. Hot temperatures and heavy rain caused the asphalt to collapse in the northbound lanes of that highway.

Crews closed the lane to repair it. It too, should be reopened to traffic sometime Friday morning.
