A Jenks family had a rude awakening in the middle of the night. A vehicle smashed through their backyard fence, hit the house, and sped off. It happened over the weekend in the Juniper Ridge Housing Addition.
The Williamsons awoke to the sounds of a vehicle smashing through their backyard fence and into a play set. The driver apparently slammed it in reverse and hit the house on the way out. The vehicle barely missed the bedroom window by only a few feet. Homeowner Michelle Williamson: "My husband said he actually saw headlights in the room, that it was light. And you just knew something was not quite right."
Williamson is hopeful the culprit will be caught. The vehicle's back window was left behind. She thinks the two decals, an American flag and a Marine Corps sticker will help ID the driver.
Anyone with information about the vehicle is asked to contact Jenks Police.
