A late Tuesday evening shooting on US highway 75, which barely missed a 3 year-old boy, remains under investigation by Tulsa Police.

Police are teaming up with Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers to determine whether this latest incident is related to a string of shootings along the Creek Turnpike. Investigators have been going over the area alongside Highway 75 with a metal detector searching for clues. News on 6 anchor Tami Marler says investigators are searching for clues alongside the northbound lanes of US highway 75.

The shooting was too close for comfort. Renee King and Lisa Rahlf were driving with Rahlf's 3 year-old grandson on northbound US highway 75 near Southwest Boulevard. They were headed to a prayer meeting when they heard two loud bangs. They immediately pulled to the side of the road and called police. Lisa Rahlf: "We heard another bang and that's when I turned to my grandson and that’s when we moved to the side and called the police."

Tulsa Police cannot yet say whether the Creek Turnpike shootings and this latest shooting are related.
