It appears a crisis with the ambulance service in Claremore has been averted.
The city faced a July 31st deadline to maintain ambulance service after existing provider Med-Tech, said it couldn't afford to continue.
The city council has now finalized a sole-source contract with Arkansas-based Pafford Ambulance Service. Pafford is buying Med-Tech assets and picking up one-third of the dispatch costs.
The City of Claremore is paying another third. Rogers County will pay the remaining one-third, up to eleven months.
