OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Former Congressman Wes Watkins has joined a Nashville company that provides loans to hospitals.

Watkins will be an adviser to the leadership of Pine Creek Healthcare Capital.

The company offers small, rural hospitals access to loans.

Watkins represented Oklahoma's 3rd Congressional District from 1977 to 1990 and from 1997 to 2002.

He pleaded no contest last year to two counts of negligent homicide in the connection with a traffic accident in which his minivan rear-ended another car.
