VINITA, Okla. (AP) -- A Vinita woman is dead after the car she was riding in crashed into a tree on a county road near Vinita.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says Betty Lou Lane was killed in the accident about 7:45 Monday night.

Troopers say Lane was a passenger in a car that ran off the roadway and traveled nearly 90 feet before hitting the tree.

Troopers say the driver and a 7-month-old boy in the car were treated and released at a local hospital.
