PONCA CITY, Okla. (AP) -- A Ponca City waterpark closes briefly after the death of an employee who fell about 25 feet from a water slide.

Kay County Undersheriff Buddy Thomas says the 17-year-old was killed Thursday night after falling from the waterslide while using the slide after hours.

The teen's name wasn't immediately released. He was transported by ambulance to Via Christi Oklahoma Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
