One of the easiest and cheapest ways to get healthier is by going for a walk. The American College of Sport's Medicine says 30 minutes a day is just what the doctor ordered.
Dr Rodney Huey with Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Oklahoma: "Exercise really is the key to maintaining your weight and controlling your blood pressure and many other conditions. It's very difficult to maintain your weight with just diet, particularly as you get older."
Doctor Huey says before you start a walking regimen, check with your doctor and make sure your shoes are the right size and fit.
