ADA, Okla. (AP) _ A Florida company has finalized its plans to open a call center in Ada that could employ more than 500 people.
Interactive Response Technologies says it hopes to begin training classes by August first and have the call center operational by the end of the year. The Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based company will be moving into the former Sykes Enterprises call center building that closed last year.
IRT entered into a performance contract with the city that includes financial incentives if it hires more employees. An IRT official says wireless provider T-Mobile will be the call center's primary client.
