McALESTER, Okla. (AP) _ McAlester's former city manager is suing the city, its mayor and two city councilmembers, claiming he's not being paid his full retirement benefits.
Randy Green was fired in January after revelations that the city had paid more than a half-million dollars to buy back unused leave for him.
Since February, Green has been receiving retirement benefits of nearly $4,000 per month. But in his suit, he contends he should be getting a monthly payment of more than $9,600.
He's seeking money from the city and its retirement plan to make up for the difference, as well as compensation for past underpayments and interest.
McAlester's mayor could not be reached for comment.
