The military is now requiring soldiers to designate someone to handle their remains if they're killed in battle.

The requirement stems from two burial disputes between parents, including one fight over Army Staff Sergeant Jason Hendrix who was killed in Iraq. Hendrix father lives in Claremore, his mother lives in California.

After a court battle, the 28-year-old was buried in Oklahoma, but his mother has filed a civil lawsuit in California, seeking possession of her son's remains.

That case is set for trial in October.
