A man accused of fatally stabbing a woman and beating another woman with a hammer is in the Tulsa County jail.

46-year old Jimmy Ray Lemon was hospitalized with self-inflicted injuries. Lemon is charged with first-degree murder and assault and battery with a deadly weapon.

Detectives believe Lemon attacked 71-year-old Lila Snow and 91-year-old Billye Taylor at Snow's apartment.

Snow died at the scene. Taylor remains hospitalized in critical condition.
