Tulsa County Sheriff's office gets ready to take over operation of the county jail

The Tulsa County Sheriff's office held a promotions ceremony at the county jailTuesday. 32 people moved up Tuesday, the largest number of people ever promoted at one time in the history of the sheriff's office.
The promoted employees will help supervise the transfer of the jail from private company Corrections Corporation of America to the sheriff’s office. Tulsa County Sheriff’s deputy Sgt Willie Lewis: "It's quite an undertaking. We've got a lot of qualified people who've stepped up to become supervisors and they're going to be running this facility in just excellent shape."
Tulsa County Sheriff's Office will take over control of the jail on Friday.
