PAULS VALLEY, Okla. (AP) _ Garvin County authorities say a suspect is in custody in a string of armed robberies in several cities along Interstate 35.

James Willeford is charged with robbing a travel center between Wynnewood and Pauls Valley and a grocery store in Lindsay. Jail officials say he's being held on 2-point-3 (M) million dollars bond.

Garvin County Sheriff's Sergeant Chad Hillis says Willeford is also a suspect in the armed robberies of convenience stores and other businesses in Davis, Sulphur, Purcell, Springer, Ratliff City and Newcastle.

Willeford says a tip from a Garvin County Jail inmate led deputies to a pickup truck owned by Willeford that matches the description of the truck used in one of the robberies.
