OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Restaurants across Oklahoma are getting reminders about changes in the state's tobacco laws that take effect in eight months.
7,000 letters are being sent by the state Health Department to remind restaurant owners that next March first is the deadline to either go smoke-free or have a separately ventilated, fully enclosed room for smokers. The letters support going smoke free.
The Health Department estimates at least 70 percent of restaurants are already smoke-free, but at least a few are establishing separate rooms for smokers.
