OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A man mowing with a brush hog along Interstate 40 in southeast Oklahoma City was killed just before 11 this morning when the tractor he was driving flipped.
Oklahoma City Fire Major Brian Stanaland says the man appeared to have been mowing a steep incline near Choctaw Road when the tractor rolled. Stanaland says the man was thrown from the tractor and hit in the head by the blades of the brush hog and likely died instantly.
The man's name hasn't been released.
Stanaland says the man worked for a private contractor hired by the state Department of Transportation.
