ARDMORE, Okla. (AP) _ The University of Oklahoma has sent a new one-year record in private fund-raising.
OU President David Boren said Thursday that as of June 1st the university has $103.6-million in private gifts and pledges for the fiscal year that ends June 30th.
The donations include $12-million for student scholarships, nearly $40-million for capital projects that include a wing of the Fred Jones Junior Museum of Art and nearly $52-million for academic programs and research.
OU Vice President David Maloney says OU has received $1.1-billion in gifts and pledges since Boren became OU president in 1994.
