OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The number of traffic fatalities on Oklahoma roads and highways is down significantly from last year.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reports more than 100 fewer deaths have been reported so far this year compared to 2004. The patrol says 383 people died in traffic fatalities at this point last year. This year, 271 people have been killed.

The numbers for the month of June also are down. At this time last year, 54 people had been killed on Oklahoma roads. This year, 29 have died.
