WILSON, Okla. (AP) _ One man was being questioned at the Carter County Sheriff's Department in connection in the death of a Wilson woman early Friday.
Deputies and paramedics responding to a call at 4:45 a.m. found Phyllis Johnston, 50, dead in a rural home east of Wilson in southwestern Carter County, Sheriff Harvey Burkhart said.
Burkhart said medics estimated Johnston had been dead for three or four hours and that it appeared she suffered blunt force injuries.
The Oklahoma Bureau of Investigation was assisting with the investigation.
