Green Country wasn't the only area affected by the storms overnight.
High winds and heavy rain caused problems early out west in Grady County in the Chickasha area.
Both northbound and southbound lanes of I-44 were closed after downed power lines caused a major traffic accident early Friday morning.
No word on injuries.
A number of homes were also damaged or homes under construction destroyed by straight line winds.
According to AEP/PSO officials, the storm's winds also knocked out power to around 5,000 people in the Chichasha and Tuttle area.
Fortunately, the winds died down before the storm front moved into the Tulsa area.
Officials say power outages in the Tulsa metro area are down Friday morning from 20,000 to around 1,500.
