A Tulsa judge has entered a not guilty plea for a father accused in the scalding death of his toddler son.
Carlis Ball (pictured on left) is charged with first degree murder and is being held without bond.
Ball's preliminary hearing date is set for July first.
Prosecutors believe Ball intentionally poured boiling water onto two year old Keenan Taylor (pictured below) last week. The child was burned over 75 percent of his body.
Officials say Ball didn't get medical attention for Keenan for more than 24 hours. By then, Kennan was convulsing. Emergency crews tried to save him but could not.
Ball has maintained his innocence throughout the investigation. He says the water spilled onto his son by accident.
Funeral services for Keenan were held Monday.
Keenan's mother lost custody of the boy six months ago after she tested positive for cocaine.
