DURANT, Okla. (AP) A Bryan County, Oklahoma, jail inmate who escaped and led police on a high-speed chase to Texas could be returned to Oklahoma this week.
An official at the Durant, Oklahoma, jail says 22-year-old John Reyes of Dallas used his restraint chains Friday to choke a guard who was driving him back from a hospital. Reyes then kicked the guard out of the S-U-V and drove to Texas.
Police stopped Reyes by blocking the highway near McKinney, Texas. He's now being held in the Collin County, Texas, jail.
