A motorcylce rider learns the hard way to follow construction signs overnight. It happened just before 2 AM Tuesday morning.

Police say the 35 year-old driver wasn't paying attention to detour signs on Admiral and missed a turn. He dropped down nearly a foot, onto a part of the road that is being resurfaced. That sent him flying off his motorcycle.

Authorities say the man wasn't wearing a helmet. He suffered minor head injuries.
