OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- The brother of a man who died in federal custody in Oklahoma City is offering the FBI a deal for the release of Oklahoma City bombing records.

Utah attorney Jesse Trentadue wants nearly 350 FBI documents related to the bombing investigation and a federal judge is ordering the FBI to give them to him.

Trentadue is trying to prove his brother, Kenneth Trentadue, was killed because he was mistaken for a member of a gang white supremacist bank robbers. There have been efforts to link the bank robbers to the Oklahoma City bombing.

Jesse Trentadue says in the proposed deal the FBI can black out the names of any informants if it gives him the otherwise unaltered documents.

The FBI recently found the documents and a federal judge is ordering the agency to give them to Trentadue by next Wednesday.

The FBI is appealing the order and says it doesn't have the manpower or time to conduct an extensive search as ordered by the judge.

Kenneth Trentadue's death while in federal custody in Oklahoma City has been ruled a suicide, but some officials question that because his body was severely battered.
