CUSHING, Okla. (AP) -- A seventh man is charged with first-degree murder in the death of a prison inmate during a riot at the Cimarron Correctional Facility.
Prosecutors this week charged 30-year-old Mark Anthony Ford in the March 22 death of Adam Lippert[pictured]. Records show law enforcement officers identified Ford while reviewing videotapes of the riot.
According to a Cushing policeman's affidavit, Lippert died as a result of stab wounds sustained during the riot. The 32-year-old inmate was stabbed in the face, scalp, chest, abdomen, shoulder, elbow, arm and trunk, according to the affidavit.
Six other inmates were charged with murder on April 21st. District Attorney Robert Hudson says he plans to charge anyone who was involved in the riot or in its planning.
